Broadcast information for the TV anime "Fire Force Season 3" has been announced. It will be broadcast in two separate seasons, from April 2025 and January 2026, and will depict the original manga to its conclusion.
"Fire Force" is a hugely popular comic that was serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine from 2015 to 2022 and has sold over 20 million copies worldwide (as of July 2024). The first season of the TV anime series aired in 2019, and the second season in 2020.
The story is set in a world where people are afraid of the "human combustion phenomenon," in which ordinary people suddenly burst into flames, turn into fire monsters called "Homurabitos," and wreak havoc. A boy named Shinra Kusakabe, who is called a "devil" because of a fire he was involved in as a child, aspires to be a "hero" and joins the Special Fire Force to face the fear of fire. It is a scorching dark fantasy in which he and his friends fight against "Homurabitos," "human combustion phenomenon," and unravel the great secrets of the world.
The third season of the TV anime "Fire Force Season 3," which has been decided to be produced for some time, has now begun in earnest, and broadcast information has been released. It will be broadcast in two separate seasons, from April 2025 and January 2026, and will depict the end of the original manga.
Along with the release of the broadcast information, a teaser visual and teaser PV for Season 3, depicting the main character Shinra heading to the final battle, have also been released. After a video using the original comic is played, the words "TV anime to be completed" are displayed on the screen, and the opening theme "SPARKAGAIN" for the second season of the TV anime "Fire Force Season 2," sung by Aimer, begins.
Scenes depicting the exploits of Shinra and his team, including Special Fire Force Company 8 and other Special Fire Force companies, as well as the Evangelists, are played along with the song, and at the end, the words "Final Chapter of the TV Anime" appear along with new footage from Season 3.
Anticipation is building as to what kind of performance Shinra and his team will show as they throw themselves into the final battle.
