KINGDOM Return of the Great General

KINGDOM Return of the Great General

It has been revealed that ONE OK ROCK's song "Delusion:All" will be used as the theme song for the live-action film "Kingdom: Return of the General" based on the original work by Yasuhisa Hara. A 90-second trailer and a 30-second teaser trailer have also been released.

ONE OK ROCK also provided the theme song "Wasted Nights" for the first film in the series, "Kingdom," released in 2019. Vocalist Taka commented, "It's been a while since 'Wasted Nights,' but we are very honored to be able to make a comeback in this way. We tried to create a song that is suitable for Kingdom, while taking into account the various conflicts in the world and the current historical background." A part of "Delusion:All" can be heard in the trailer.

Yamazaki Kento, who plays Shin, said, "I remember that when I heard 'Wasted Nights,' I had a strong impression that it was Kingdom!" and commented on the new theme song, "I think this 'Delusion:All' is also a theme song that is full of Kingdom-like qualities." Comments from Osawa Takao, who plays Ou Ki, and producer Matsuhashi Shinzo are included at the end of the article.

Set in the Spring and Autumn Period and Warring States Period of China before Christ, "Kingdom" is a grand-scale story about a war orphan boy named Shin who dreams of becoming a great general, and a young king named Ying Zheng who aims to unify China. "The Return of the General," which will be released on July 12, will depict the continuation of the "Battle of Mayang," an all-out battle against the neighboring country of Zhao that Shin and Ou Ki challenged in the previous film, "Flames of Destiny."
