Meiji's 'Kinoko no Yama' Wireless Earbuds: Genius Look and Simultaneous Translation Feature Spark Enthusiastic Responses

Meiji has announced the release of wireless earbuds modeled after their popular snack 'Kinoko no Yama', which will feature a simultaneous translation function supporting 127 languages. The announcement has garnered significant attention.

In July, Meiji teased the 'Kinoko no Yama Wireless Earbuds' in a post on X (formerly Twitter) as part of their miscellaneous goods project. The overwhelming positive response led to the decision for production. Online discussions following the confirmation of the earbuds' release express desires such as "As a fan of mushrooms, I really want these," "Whoever thought of this is a genius," and concerns about potential usage by the elderly or children.

These wireless earbuds will come equipped with a simultaneous translation feature supporting 127 languages, requiring a dedicated app download on smartphones or similar devices.

The earbuds are scheduled for release in spring 2024.
