From ``NARUTO'', the TOP 22 character illustrations from the character popularity poll ``NARUTOP99'' drawn by the original author, Masashi Kishimoto, are now available in ``Gashapon'' as approximately 5cm colored Mame Gasha colored paper. It will be on sale at toy stores and other stores nationwide from the 4th week of September 2023.
``NARUTO'' is a ninja action comic by Masashi Kishimoto that was serialized in ``Weekly Shonen Jump'' from 1999 to 2014 and became a huge hit worldwide.
The story depicts Naruto Uzumaki, who fights to the death with his rivals and overcomes his past connections to become Hokage, the head of the Hidden Leaf Village, and was made into a TV anime in 2002.
From December 2022 to January 2023, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the anime, the first global character popularity poll ``NARUTOP99'' was held.
This product "Mame Gasha Shikishi NARUTOP99 Vol.1" is the first in the "Mame Gasha Shikishi" series that uses illustrations of the top 22 characters of "NARUTOP99" drawn by the original author Masashi Kishimoto.
The colored paper is palm-sized with a length and width of about 5 cm, the smallest in the gold-edged colored paper industry, and the first edition features Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, Shikamaru Nara, Neji Hyuga, Kakashi Hatake, Might Guy & Rock Lee, and Senju Hashira. The lineup includes 10 types and 12 people, including Hazama (first Hokage), Sakumo Hatake, Shisui Uchiha, Deidara & Sasori.
The other 10 characters, including Minato Namikaze, who won first place in the popularity vote, will appear in the second installment scheduled to be released in December 2023.
