THE FIRST SLAM DUNK on Netflix

The anime film "THE FIRST SLAM DUNK", written, scripted and directed by Takehiko Inoue, will be screened again at more than 300 theaters nationwide on August 13th.

"THE FIRST SLAM DUNK" was released on December 3, 2022, and as of today, May 28th, has recorded a box office revenue of 15.5 billion yen. The film depicts the battle of Shohoku High School at the Inter-High School Championships, where they challenge the reigning champion, Sannoh Industrial, centering on the past episodes of Shohoku's point guard, Ryota Miyagi, who toyed with opponents with his intelligent play and lightning speed.

To commemorate the revival screening, it has been decided that it will be exclusively distributed in Japan on Netflix from June 10th. This will be the first time that "THE FIRST SLAM DUNK" will be distributed.
