Ghibli Park Phase 2 Area Opening Date Announced
The second phase areas of Ghibli Park, "Mononoke no Sato" and "Witches' Valley," will open on November 1 and March 16, 2024, respectively.
The Ghibli Park opened on November 1, 2022 in Aichi Prefecture's Expo 2005 Aichi Prefecture Commemorative Park. The "Mononoke no Sato" is an area inspired by the satoyama-like landscape depicted in "Princess Mononoke." Visitors can experience the local cuisine "Gohei-mochi" at the "Taraba," a hands-on learning facility based on the building in the film. A slide in the shape of Otogijinushi and an objet d'art of the god Tatarigami are also highlights of the area.
The Valley of the Witches is an area where visitors can enjoy a European-style atmosphere inspired by the world of witch-related works. Visitors can enjoy playground equipment and restaurants, as well as buildings that recreate the "Okino's House" and "Guchoki Bakery" from "The Witch's Delivery Service," "Howl's Castle" and "Hatter's Hat Shop" from "Howl's Moving Castle," and the "Witch's House" from "Arya and the Witch.
Tickets for November admission will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 2 p.m. on August 10. For ticket information after March 16, 2024, when the "Valley of the Witches" opens, please wait for further information.
