"Jujutsu Kaisen" is a dark fantasy by Gege Akutami that has been serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" since 2018. The story begins when the seal of a powerful "curse" is broken, and high school student Yuji Kojo steps into a world of battles that revolve around curses. The total number of copies of the 26 comics published, including the digital version, has exceeded 90 million copies.
It has also been made into an anime, and the first season was broadcast from October 2020 to March 2021. The movie "Jujutsu Kaisen 0'' released in December 2021 was a huge hit with cumulative worldwide box office revenue of 26.5 billion yen, causing a huge movement. "Region no Shi: Color Illustrations" takes a closer look at the production process of the exhibition key visuals and the cuts for the cover of "Weekly Shonen Jump," and showcases a number of his full-fledged color illustrations.
