AKUMA-KUN on Netflix

AKUMA-KUN on Netflix

A completely new anime of "Demon-kun," one of Manga artist Shigeru Mizuki's masterpieces, will be distributed exclusively worldwide on Netflix from November 9, 2012. Along with this, a new visual and a trailer PV have been released.
The story follows Ichiro Ureshiki, a.k.a. "Demon Boy," a boy genius who only comes along once every 10,000 years, and his partner, Mephisto III, as they pursue the mystery of their origins while working together on mysterious cases. Since its publication in 1963 as a rental manga, the story has been adapted several times with different protagonists and settings.

The new visual released with the announcement of the distribution start date depicts Demon-kun, Mephisto III, and Strofire, a new character with a red feather, with the "Invisible School" in the background. Who is Strofire really? The relationship between Strofire and Demon-kun is also a matter of concern.

The trailer begins with a meaningful line from Strofire, and then shows a number of mysterious incidents that Demon-kun and his friends encounter. The film's "buddies," Devil-kun and Mephisto III, are a sight to behold.
