BAKI on stage
The stage play " THE GRAPPLER Baki STAGE - Underground Arena Arc -", based on Itagaki Keisuke's manga "Grappler Baki" (Akita Publishing), will be performed at Shinjuku FACE in Tokyo from December 4th to 8th.
"Grappler Baki" is a fighting manga that Itagaki serialized in "Weekly Shonen Champion". It was also made into a TV anime, and sequels "Baki", "Hanma Baki", "Baki-Dou", "Baki-Dou" and "Bakirahen" have also been announced. The stage version of this work is written and directed by Tanaka Daisuke, and the sword fighting and action are handled by Okuzumi Hideaki. The cast includes Sato Yugo as Hanma Baki, Onishi Momoka as Matsumoto Kozue, Hinatano Sho as Orochi Katsumi, Sakuraba Taito as Hanayama Kaoru, martial artist Kohiruimaki Takayuki as Kano Hideaki, former martial artist and actor Takeda Kozo as Orochi Doppo, and former sumo wrestler Ryogoku Hiroshi as Hanma Yujiro. The visual released this time has the catchphrase "The strongest on earth."

Regarding his appearance, Sato said, "I'm Sato Yugo, who will be playing the role of Hanma Baki. When I was chosen to play the role of Baki, the first thing I thought was, 'Isn't that a muscle suit?' I'm sure everyone involved in this play has thought the pressure of building a physique. I believe that the key to the quality of the work is directly linked to how far we can push our bodies and minds until the day of the performance. How will I be able to express the world view depicted by Itagaki Keisuke-sensei in real life? I'm really looking forward to it."
