Ghibli Park new area will open soon.

The second area of Ghibli Park, Mononoke no Sato, will open on November 1st. Prior to this, a media preview was held today, October 25th.
Ghibli Park opened in Aichi Prefecture's Aichi Prefecture's Expo Memorial Park on November 1, 2022. ``Mononoke no Sato'' is a new area of Ghibli Park that is inspired by the Japanese-style satoyama landscape, with the Emishi village and Tataraba from ``Princess Mononoke'' as motifs. It is adjacent to the section of Aichi Sato Lab, which is working on creating a village at Expo Aichi Park, so you can enjoy the beautiful scenery as well. Director Goro Miyazaki of Studio Ghibli, who is in charge of the production of Ghibli Park, sent a message about the area, saying, ``We have created a very beautiful landscape where the plants and trees are the main characters, and I really like it.''

The first thing that greets visitors at Mononoke no Sato is an object with the motifs of Otoshiji and Tatari. The giant white male boar god, Otoji, has four fangs and is about 7.6 meters long and 3.4 meters tall. The white fur is expressed with colorful tiles and cobblestones, allowing you to enjoy the impressive appearance of the Otoji master. There is also a slide on the back, so children under elementary school age can ride on the back of the master. On the other hand, the gigantic Kojin/Tatari god object is about 9m long and 2.8m high. The red-black and poisonous body of the Tatari god is decorated with black stones and colorful tiles, and he sits with his long limbs touching the ground. Furthermore, a viewing tower in the village of Emishi has been built near the object, and the entire area is a space where you can experience the world of ``Princess Mononoke.''
One of the highlights of ``Mononoke no Sato'' is an experiential learning facility modeled after Tataraba, the iron-making village led by Eboshi in ``Princess Mononoke.'' Inside a large building with a grass roof, you can experience grilling Goheimochi, a local dish, over a charcoal grill. Choose your favorite sauce from three types: walnut miso, soy sauce, and Neapolitan sauce. The price is 1200 yen including tax per person. There is also a charcoal hut set up behind the Tataraba, where you can try your hand at making charcoal.
There is also the ``Mononoke no Sato Rest Area,'' which was relocated from the administration building that was built next to ``Satsuki and Mei's House'' during the 2005 Aichi World Expo. The shop has a stone roof to match the atmosphere of the area, and sells original products such as jerky that reproduces the dried meat that San feeds Ashitaka in the story, mascots of Tatari God and Otji-shu, as well as ramune, lemonade, etc. will also be sold.

Ghibli Park will open on November 1, 2022 as a park that expresses the world of Studio Ghibli. Currently, three areas are open: "Ghibli's Great Warehouse", "Seishun no Oka", and "Dondoko Mori", "Mononoke no Sato" will open on November 1st, and "Witch's Valley" will open on March 16th, 2024. The opening of the park is also scheduled. Admission tickets must be reserved by date and time, and go on sale on the 10th of every month. To enter ``Mononoke no Sato'', you will need a set ticket with ``Ghibli's Great Warehouse''.
