Girls Band Cry

It has been announced that the original anime "Girls Band Cry'', written, planned and produced by Toei Animation, will be broadcast on TV from April 2024. Along with this, the anime key visual and teaser PV have been released. The main staff have also been revealed. Furthermore, on March 16th, it has been decided that the band "Togenashi Togeari" will be holding their first one-man live performance "Twilight Prelude".

“Girls Band Cry” is “Love Live! This is a completely new, original anime directed by Kazuo Sakai, who also worked on ``Sunshine.'' The series composition is “Love Live! '' and "A Place Further Than the Universe'' will be handled by Toki Hanada, and the music producer will be Kenji Tamai (agehasprings), who has produced songs for such artists as YUKI and Aimer.

The accompanying music is by Yusuke Tanaka (agehasprings), who has produced songs for Ikimonogakari and Aimyon, the original character design is by Nari Teshima, who was in charge of the character design for "Hoshimachi Suisei", and the CG director is by "Dragon Ball Super Super Hero". Jeong Jae-hoon will be in charge.

The members of the girl band "Togenashi Togeari" and their main cast voice actors who appear in this work are made up of five people selected through the "Girl's Rock Audition" audition. Starting with the production announcement in April 2023, they have distributed nine music videos and released four singles so far. Live broadcasts and live performances by members are also held regularly.

The TV broadcast from April 2024 was announced during the live event "Get to KAWASAKI 2023" held at Kawasaki Serbian Night on December 20th. It was a memorable live performance in which the event's closing song, "Togenashi Togeari," announced the anime adaptation in Kawasaki, where the story takes place.

The key visual released along with the announcement centers on vocalist Nina Iseri holding up her favorite guitar. Momoka Kawaraki on guitar, Subaru Yasuwa on drums, Satoshi Ebitsuka on keyboard, and Lupa on bass give their best performances. The expressions of the five characters, filled with unprecedented confidence, stir up expectations for the story yet to be seen.

Also, in the teaser PV, three people appear: Nina, Momoka, and Subaru. Nina, who came to Tokyo alone, is shown devoting herself to a band with her friends while dealing with her own worries, and in the second half, you can also see a performance scene on stage. With a huge outdoor stage in the background, Nina's determination shines through when she speaks from her heart, saying, "If I sing here, I'll feel like I didn't make a mistake.''
