"Kaiju No. 8" anan cover
Characters from the TV anime "Kaiju No. 8" will appear on the cover and back cover of "anan" for two consecutive issues. The cover of the issue released on June 5, 2024 will feature Hibino Kafka and Ichikawa Reno, the back cover will feature Hoshina Soushirou, and the cover of the June 19 issue will feature Ashiro Mina and Shinomiya Kikoru.
"Kaiju No. 8" is based on a manga currently being serialized in "Shonen Jump +" (Shueisha).
Hibino Kafka, who worked in a monster cleaning business, is transformed into a monster with great powers by a mysterious small monster. The story depicts how he is named Kaiju No. 8 and chased from Japan, but does not give up on his dream of becoming a defense force member and faces monster disasters.
The TV anime has been airing on TV Tokyo affiliates and other stations since April 13.

In response to the release of the front and back covers, Fukunishi Katsuya, the voice actor who plays Kafka, posted a comment saying, "Information about the special edition of 'Kaiju No. 8' by the magazine 'anan' has been released. Wow, all of these covers are so good. The poses, where they're looking, their expressions, the use of colors... they're the best... There's also an interview with us, the cast, and it was a lot of fun."
