"Urusei Yatsura" concludes after four seasons

The TV anime "Urusei Yatsura," based on the original work by Rumiko Takahashi, concluded with the 46th episode, which aired from 24:55 on June 20th. To commemorate this, a "THANK YOU! visual" was released to convey gratitude to viewers.

"Urusei Yatsura" was produced to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Shogakukan's founding and aired for four seasons starting in October 2022. The "THANK YOU! visual" shows Ataru, Shinobu, Mendou, Sakuranbo, Sakura, Lanrei, Oyuki, Benten, Ten, Ryunosuke, Ryunosuke's father, and Kotatsu Neko gathered at Lum's feet.

Comments have also arrived from Kamiya Hiroshi, who plays Ataru, and Uesaka Sumire, who plays Lum. Kamiya said, "I was happy to be involved in Urusei Yatsura, which I love! I'd like to thank everyone involved in the production! And Ataru, thank you so much! It was so much fun!!" Uesaka said, "I was able to play Lum for four seasons...I'm so, so happy! I'm happy! I'm sad that it's coming to an end, but I'm once again honored to have been able to play my beloved Lum all the way through to Boy Meets Girl."
