"Rurouni Kenshin" Season 2 "Kyoto Uprising" will air on October 3rd!

At the "Aniplex Online Fest 2024" held, September 16th, the second key visual, third PV, broadcast and distribution information, and information on the first season compilation of the TV anime "Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Swordsman Romantic Story" second season "Kyoto Disturbance" were released.

The third PV released features the opening theme "Iranai Mono" by Kitani Tatsuya and Natori. In addition, additional cast members from the second season were announced: Tomatsu Haruka (role of Komagata Yumi), Hatano Wataru (role of Yukyuzan Anji), and Okamoto Nobuhiko (role of Sawashita Joharu).

Comments from these three additional cast members, Nakamura Yuichi (role of Hiko Seijuro), Furukawa Makoto (role of Shishio Mami), and Yamashita Daiki (role of Seta Sojiro), a total of six cast members, as well as scene cuts of each character, were also released.

During the turbulent end of the Edo period, the restoration patriot Himura Kenshin, feared as "Battousai the Assassin," lived in a new era as a wanderer, wielding a reverse-blade sword and vowing not to kill again.

On May 14, 1878, Okubo Toshimichi, one of the "Three Great Men of the Restoration," was assassinated.

Behind this incident that would once again change the course of history was the secret maneuverings of Shishio Makoto, who was plotting to overthrow the Meiji government.

In order to stop Shishio, who was also the successor to "Battousai the Assassin," Kenshin bids farewell to Kamiya Kaoru and travels to Kyoto.
